Makoyskie: A Fellow Blogger From the Philippines

When you read that title, do not expect that the blogger has to be in the Philippines. Just like me, one fellow blogger in this blogosphere is also a Filipino like me but we are both outside the country at the moment as expatriates. He is currently in Singapore having his profession something related to computers and technology.

Big Mak Blog Contest
Makoy is currently holding a contest is at least $200 and hundred of thousands of Entrecard Credits and a lot more. Click the image to join. State that Webbielady has referred you and get instant 3 points. ^^ Blog, enjoy and earn!

Similar to people who are far from their family members and are alone, this fellow makes his free time through blogging, making online friends, earning online and of course getting entertained online. On the process, by getting entertained online and through blogging, he’s able to share the knowledge as well as the pleasure of knowing some really interesting events in the Philippines and all over the world.

This particular blogger’s name is Makoy or Makoyskie and his twitter account says mark Ferdinand is the name, just see here. Makoy has fur blogs that I know of. See each of them as I enumerate:

The Certified Pinoy Blogger talks on a lot of things from latest Philippines, Singaporean and International events that usually concerns Filipinos. The blog is also sometimes politics-related and show business related. Just look at the title of some of the latest posts here:

Francis Magalona Tribute , Compute Your Income Tax in Singapore, Krista Ranillo Maxim Philippines March 2009, Absentee Voting Registration in Singapore and Top Box Office as of March 1, 2009.

On the other hand, Memoirs of a Certified Blogger talks on almost the same category of things as the categories mentioned above. One thing I like about this site is the update of the peso versus dollar rate from time to time or every week or two weeks if I am not mistaken. This is celebrity gossips and updates loaded as well, both in Philippine show biz and all over the world showbiz.

Makoy’s Take on Entertainment and Arts obviously talks on the famous celebrities all over the world and their arts such as singing, acting, films, and a lot more. I always get entertained if only I have to start reading in here.

Make Money Online With Makoy gives various tips and tricks online, not strictly earning but how to’s such as making a web service and similar stuffs. I have o admit that the more I read on the post the more I get drawn to the blogs. Try and see what wioll be the effect to you.

What Something Big I Wanna Be in 2009?

There’s a lot of big ideas popping up my mind for this year. One is to learn at least one more language, this time either Dutch or French as an extra language always helps and give more opportunities, higher market value and of course ease of socializing.

You wanna do? Why don’t you try the BigMak Contest where real BIG fun and prizes awaits? I am joining.. Let’s all win the monies and the goodies! Click the image to the contest’s link. Just mention “Webbielady” as your referrer when you join so that you will get automatic 3 points when you’d do that.

    Duomo

I was on this place last week and I was simply amazed by bothe the interior and exterior structure of thi church. Even though it is still being reconstructed, if one is actually there, the beauty and grandeur would not be missed!

It is an old church and all the tips (there are hundreds tips both up and side the church) you can see have a sculpted image, more often thann not, and if not all, they are images of saints or persons of the bible. What impresses me most is how the design was done and its architecture. To think that there were no heavy construction machineries before, this must have relied to the bare hands of the craftsmen... or maybe slaves. Quite ironic, right? For this is a catholic church!

This church is in Milan and thousands of tourists can be seen in the place. Inside is a real body of one saint, Saint Charles. If I am not mistaken, he was a pope before.

Just click the image to see it in 4 megapixel, the real size.

    Planning to Shift to WordPress

This week, I have not put so much importance and attention to my blogs for the reason that I have been out most of the time and when I get back to where I temporarily stay, I am too tired to do anything. I was out touring around Milan and Torin this week and last week here in North Italy. However, last night, I happen to be intrigued by the organization of blogs for those who are using wordpress instead of any blogs. Wordpress are more organized and very pleasing to the eyes. I really got impressed and convinced! The bad side is, I do not have any idea how to make them and if they have to be paid if used.

To those who have any idea on how to use wordpress in blogging and to those who know if it is a necessoty to pay before using any of their themes, please advise me. I would highly appreciate it. Thank you so much.

What’s Your Site’s Score and What Can You do to Improve It?

I was browsing over the web and I was able to see some free stuffs on site diagnostic. Well, this is a new site and I have other three blogs. I am not expecting so much, plus the fact that I would always get a zero rating or zero rank from google ranking due to my adsense blockage.

I am sharing this with you all, and I am sure you would love to know how your site ranks. I am posting mine here. If you would like to know your site’s status, its strength, weakness and stuffs like that, simply clcik on my score widget, which is very low (shame…shame…shame..), 6.6 over 10.

So let’s keep the ball rolling. Here is the overview (Click the image for full screen size):
And the summary of some important points. If you don’t like to see how your site scores, or you just want to know some stuff related to site diagnostic, simply read the summary of this minireport that I would post here (below). I too, was unaware of these things until I had this blog/site tested. Thanks to firefactor on this eye-opener free test.

Keyword Frequency in the TITLE tag:
Search engines place a high level of importance on the keywords that appear in the title of a Web page. Accordingly, it is a good idea to put your most important and relevant keywords in the title of your page. When doing this, also make sure that it is readable and makes sense to the user. Many search engines will also use this title as the title of your site in the index, this area is a very important and key factor.

Your average keyword frequency in your title is 1. This is optimal and should ensure that your page is ranked higher in most search engines for the listed keywords.

    Total Keyword Prominence:
Keyword prominence is a measure of the how close your keywords are to the beginning of their containing HTML element. This is important because most search engines use it as a gauge of how much your pages relate to your keywords. Pages with higher keyword prominence will typically be ranked higher in search engines for their targeted keyword phrases.

Your total prominence is 100%. This is in the recommended range of 50% - 100%. This is optimal and should ensure that your site ranks higher in most search engines for the listed keywords.

The above quoted texts are from the mini-report. It has a lot more areas to consider but too long to be posted here. I suggest, if you want to know your site better, take the test as well. WHAT’S YOUR SCORE? Clcik here to see your score: FireFactor
